The Myrmidons are a race of men, but they are not true men. Created by the gods from ants, these grim warriors are resolute, fearless and powerful, but they lack the spark of imagination- the anima, the feminine principlethat gives true men their creativity. A people completely untouched by magic, Myrmidons have a reputation throughout the world for their fearsome efficiency in battle. As a race of mercenaries, well organized companies of Myrmidons are fighters without equal. They have fought in every major campaign that has shaped the course of history, and in most of the minor frays.
Myrmidons are one of the many races of mankind, but they are not a true race. Their strange origin as god-crafted folk has made them homogenous, and without true birth, their species has never grown. Myrmidons are warriors without compare, trained to wear armor and fight from the moment they can hold a sword.
