Ooh, Shiny! - 20 More Unique Weapons

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Interjection Games believes that a good magic item can be readily identified through good use of the three Fairs.

Fairly priced.

Fairly interesting.

Fairly easy to get your DM to let you use it.

This issue of Ooh, Shiny! includes 21 weapons, one of which is The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game only. That being said, I invite 3.5 aficionados who like it to simply make it a heavy chain.

Included in these 21 items are:

The Brewhammers - Available in both one- and two-handed varieties, brewhammers are both respectable weapons and, more importantly, a source of fine, magically-laced stout for a dwarf on the go!

Warning: the Dwarven Homelands are not responsible for loss of life or limb resulting from party jealousy toward the excessively fine quality of the brew conjured by its Brewhammers. The Dwarven Homelands is, however, responsible for that delicious aid spell you just consumed.

Floating Butterfly and Stinging Bee - These paired +1 clubs grant their wielder a dodge bonus to AC and the ability to make a paralytic poison attack. With their powers combined, however, there is no end to the hilarity that can ensue, especially when the player discovers that whole "grow butterfly wings" thing.

Mimeowands - Nothing says Gnomish construction like a wand that can't make up its mind. Mimeowands remember the identity of the last spell its owner has cast. Accordingly, it becomes a wand of that spell until another spell is cast, at which point it copies THAT spell instead! Careful planning will allow for extension of a caster's favorite spells. Poor planning will result in swearing.

Spellswallower - A classic concept tweaked and rebalanced the Interjection Games way, this keen shortsword has the ability to absorb the spells of those it strikes, thus giving its master the ability to cast those spells himself. Wielder beware! Though Spellswallower is awash in raw power, clever tactics by the target of this weapon can force it to be unable to come back for a second helping anytime soon.

Ooh, Shiny – 20 More Unique Weapons is an OGL licensed supplement for 3rd edition D&D and is compatible with both 3.5 and The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

This supplement clocks in at ten pages, including eight pages of content. After the cover, we jump right into the crunch (no table of contents). In this installment, we get 20 magic weapons. As in the previous installment, every item includes xp in [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
