Welcome to the Jungle: The Tropics Biome for the Herbalist Base Class [PFRPG]

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Follow the greats like Colonel Fawcett into the dense jungles of the tropics. This verdant biome offers a selection of herbs not seen anywhere else in the world, well, except for ubiquitine, and the recipes the natives have developed for these plants are as odd, if not odder, than the base plants themselves.

The first expansion for The Herbalist Base Class, Welcome to the Jungle includes 16 herbs in the new "tropics", updates to classic recipes, and a set of 6 new recipes that combine the herbs of the tropics with the herbs of the rest of the world for ridiculous and fun effects.

Also included are the requisite biome summary and biome list tables for daily "spell" generation and recordkeeping, as well as all herb point values for those who like making custom biomes.

As a special bonus, a small selection of 4 herbs that didn't make the final cut, but are still plenty of fun, are included to ease the creation of custom biomes with biome-unaffiliated Interjection Games content.

Create blistering welts that reduce maximum Dexterity bonus with poison ivy's bas ass grandma, black poison wood! Dissolve your enemies entirely with manmelter vine! Bring on the DoTs with candlelit lichen, a recipe combination of acidbite lichen and the new emperor's candlesticks!

While looking for new base class options, i stumbled upon your herbalist class... and fell in love with it. I checked for additional content and found this gem. And it is just more gold. The only problem with it is it is missing page five. It jumps from page four straight to six. This seems to be where the bonus herbs mentioned in it were supposed to be. While I don't exactly need the bonus, my curiosity is piqued. And I can't help to wonder what these lost herbs do.

Well, that's no good. Ya see, I lost my hard drive a couple months back and though I had most everything backed up, the first draft of Super Mega Ultra Mecha and the entirety of Welcome to the Jungle didn't make it. I'll look through flash drives to see if I can find it, but those three bonus herbs may be lost to the ages.

And they are, at least in electronic form. If I come across them in my notebooks, I'll rewrite the page.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
