Generic Adventure Location for Your Role Playing Game

Its Alive-Alive!

A creepy, crumbling tower sits out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a
run-down graveyard. Loud laughter erupts from the confines of the shadowed place.
Thunder cracks and lightning crackles, drawn to electrical rods on the roof. In
that moment of brilliaqnt light all manner of horrors are glimpsed: strange, abominations
shambling about the grave yard, a hulking brute on the roof; and a tall, pale alien
thing in a lab coat. As the rain pouds down. You check your weapons and move in.

Get ready for frightfully creepy entertainment, as the players in your role
playing game must confront the uncanny horrors of this unique location, rich
with campy creatures and sinister alien plots. It is timeless pulp, fitting for the

late Victorian through today. The game includes gamemaster maps
of each level, descriptions of abominations and  the masters of the tower, Dr.
Viktor Shelley and the menacing Dr. Alienstein. The book is generic and easily
adaptable to most games, but just in case, we have included an alternative skill
system and conversion tables so that you may more easily bring this hide-away of
horrors to your gaming table. Need some unusual twists, we have included the
Cosmic Eye; a series of tables to help you find inspiration and keep your ideas
fresh and lively...er, well...un-lively…anyway. Easy to use comparative tables
help to describe how the ranks in the game measure up to the real world.

The characters are easily adapable, with their conditions and abilities
described in simple terms. You will be up and running in minutes. Have a blast
and well...break a leg. Don't leave it behind; there is no telling what Dr.
Alienstein might do with it.

Good Horror Stories Always Have Sequels

There are over 25 Story Hooks to Keep Your Characters Guessing. Our story hooks
provide you with inspiration and alternatives for what type of story you may
want to run. These story hooks, range from the macrabre to the kooky.

It's Like a play set for RPGs. The Tower of Doctor Alienstein is a generic product, intended to be dropped into a pre-existing campaign. All descriptions and statistics are given in broad, easily adaptable terms.

Weirdly horrific, this book will quickly be one of your favorites. Definatly an adventure location that will be talked about again and again.

This is a good concise supplement for the Bare Bones gaming system. The story starters are a quick and useful way to get a game started with plenty of room for creativity from the GM. I particularly like the Cosmic Eye construct for guiding the GM in [...]

The Tower of Dr. Alienstein is a perfect roleplaying supplement for that gaming group that is into heavy roleplay, strange atmospheres and classic horror tropes mixed with the campiness of old black and white genre films. The book starts with a thoroug [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
