While most warriors and fighters concentrate their battle skills in the use of weapons and armor, the grappler focuses on their own natural abilities. Likewise, unlike the warrior, the grappler holds more concentration in restraining or subduing an opponent rather than providing mortal wounds.
Grapplers may be found amongst all walks of life. Though these individuals may merely be little more than the exceptional villager who's skilled at restraining a few ruffians, it is likely that one might find such a character within an arena. Such performers are often masked and most wearing the flamboyant leathers and form fitting clothing, allowing the visual performances of their abilities to be bettered focused upon and more enjoyable in an entertainment sense.
Though having its own unique set of strong points, the grappler is still somewhat a weak class, making it a perhaps a poor choice for PCs. The grappler, however, makes a suitable, interesting, and potentially formidable class for NPCs.
