Goblins' Caves

PAGES: 47

"Goblins' Caves" is a flourishing, green, supplement about an overexploited subject. A 23 page long description of caves inhabited by a goblin tribe, with over 11 maps, plans and illustrations. The authors have laid stress on the tactics and ecology of the monsters . The goblins use combos - traps and new mundane items for example arrows with giant fire beetles. Their hamlet is vivid: the temple pulses with cannibal ceremonies, the caves belch the stench of the plantations of live mushrooms and breeding beetles . The lairs of goblins are full of traitors, degenerates, possessed by evil sprits, madmen and slaves, waiting for the characters to come .

The Forge Studios presents and represents a new quality in game's accessories combining 'art' packs and ordinary gaming material.
Every PDF from The Forge Studios consists of two parts. The first one is designed exclusively for the DM. In it you can find exact plans, visualizations, ideas, and adventure hooks.

The second part is a set of visual aids which can be easily printed or presented to other players during a session, in order to enrich the description and create a more precise presentation.

The "Goblins' Caves" consists of:
- 23 page long description
- 1 map of the caves complex
- 5 floor plans of important locations
- 9 view drawings

As a busy DM this is exactly the kind of resource that I need. I have a setting and an on-going campaign, I don't need a whole plotline, but detailed locations and the denizens that live there saves me a ton of time. Thanks for this, please make more! [...]

--== What I Liked ==-- The hooks and cave content descriptions are the best part of the product. They are pretty imaginative and can be adapted to fit most campaign worlds very easy. For my post apocalyptic fantasy game it fits almost perfectly. [...]

One thing forge studios is good at is artwork. There are some great, unusual drawings in this product. It's not a module, though, and it's not really even a setting. I'm not sure exactly what this accessory is. The quality is good, but the value is...n [...]

I liked this one. I felt like I was travelling thru the Misty Mountains of "The Hobbit" awaiting the goblins to strike. The goblin lair was well illustrated and described. It wasn't boring or dull. The story elements are very useful [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
