Selected Option:

The Chosen of the Incarnae, the Dragons, the Neverborn, the Yozis and the Great Maker all strive to chart the course of Creation. In their attempts, these Exalted heroes often come into conflict or alliance. Found within are examples of all seven types of Exalt, ranging from the ancient Sidereal Chejop Kejak to the young Dragon-Blood Cathak Meladus and all ages (and power levels) in between. Some aim to destroy the world, while others strive to save it, but regardless of motive, the movers and shakers and the up and comers alike are bound to come into contact with your characters.

Whether as friend or foe is up to you to determine.

A character sourcebook for Exalted featuring:

  • Write-ups for many of the game’s most renowned Exalts, many of whom have never been statted.
  • More than 70 ready-made allies and antagonists for players and Storytellers alike.
  • Unique Charms and items.

Note: The Black & White print editions of this book are not full-bleed. Because of printing requirements there is a small white border around the edge of the pages.

Designer's Note: Some images will appear different than the original printed book because of different printing methods.

Some very nice writeups of NPCs in this book. To have gotten 5 *s from me this would have needed to include some more information on high XP versions of the writeups and a few more custom charms, but I still think that this book offers good value for [...]

I am sorry this book didn't see print. But I am still happy to have it in hand as a pdf, as its probably one of the most awaited books giving us a bit more background info as well as even the stats of the signature characters that make the world of Exa [...]

Well, it's not a perfect book. There are parts I find less interesting, though nothing is a real dealbreaker. The art varies, from 'excellent' to 'terrible'. The characters within are useful and I'll certainly be using some of them. Though I do [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
