Description:

WELCOME TO POSEIDON, 2199AD

Prepare for a compelling journey into humanity's future on a distant planet where life is hard and dying is easy. A world where GEO Marshals enforce the peace and wired mercs patrol deep waters in deadly fighter subs. A place where corporate greed and human desperation ravage an alien ecology, threatening to plunge humanity into a war of survival with an alien legacy.

Welcome to the world of Blue Planet

Whether you are a Newcomer or Native, this guide contains everything a Blue Planet player needs to survive on the new frontier:

  • A detailed future history of the Blue Planet setting
  • Introduction to Poseidon, the GEO, the Incorporate, and the natives
  • Information on the sociopolitical landscape of both Poseidon and the Solar System
  • The newcomer survival guide
  • Detailed descriptions of personal equipment and biotechnology
  • Complete game rules, entirely redesigned for Blue Planet v2

This is the Second Edition of the Blue Planet roleplaying game, originally published by Fantasy Flight Games under license from Biohazard Games, and currently licensed by RedBrick. The PDF has been produced from a scan of the original book and, as such, may be a larger download than if produced from the digital source files, which are not available. The PDF has been OCR'd to make it searchable. Defects and artifacts are also unavoidable as the conditions of the books used to make scans vary. We have attempted to balance quality and size throughout the process and hope you are happy with the result.

Fascinating setting with lots of opportunity and conflict. Not necessarily as narrowly aquatically focused as you might have thought, though the sea slays plays a big role in the setting. Somewhat like Shadowrun is cyberpunk/fantasy, Blue Planet is Wi [...]

The Blue Planet game is a hard science fiction setting, with a richly detailed world in which to play. Combat and skills are pretty streamlined, and combat damage is often brutal w/o GM intervention. Bullets hurt, man! GMs have to be careful to keep [...]

While described as a "Player's Guide" (with the provision of a "Moderator's Guide" for the GM), this book actually contains everything you need to play Blue Planet. Naturally, the other books will enhance your experience greatly, but this is the only one [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
