The Judicial Legion of Adventurers, known as the “JLA”, is a group of powerful heroes dedicated to fighting evil and injustice. Their epic abilities, global renown, and awe-inspiring reputations are enough to make even the most depraved arch-lich think twice, and give demon lords and mighty dragons pause to reconsider the wisdom of going up against them.
A wealthy merchant who devoted all his gold and energy into crime-fighting when his parents were killed by thugs in an alley, the Dark Avenger uses his incredible skills, resources and wit to punish those the militia can not reach. His unorthodox interpretation of justice brings him into conflict often with conventional authorities (who nevertheless are thankful for his presence) and sometimes with other superheroes. The Dark Avenger and Tak-El in particular have had several hotly worded disputes regarding adventuring methodology. Despite these strains, this 'odd couple' super-heroic duo does work together on occasion for the greater good. When the do, villains better go into hiding!
