The hand of fate pack comprises of a deck of 40 individual cards (making a full set of 60 cards). The cards are used in conjunction with a new statistic introduced to the D20 system, Luck. Luck is described as the 7th statistic for the D20 system. With luck, you can purchace Hand of Fate cards to use within the game. The cards can be either numbers to play as you want instead of rolling a dice or a special card. Special cards are cards for players and DMs to enhance the game dramatically. A card may be played, for example, which allows an automatic hit for a player or a DM may play a card to cause a players movement to be hindered for a while. The hand of fate has great potential as extra cards will be made available in the not to distant future. The HoF was originally created for Dungeons and Dragons 3rd edition but could be used with any d20 system.
The initial pack includes all 40 HoF cards ready to be printed out and an instruction booklet detailing the Luck attribute and its uses in a game, along with full instructions for using the HoF.The HoF is fully compatible with D&D 3.5.
