The pulp adventure genre is full of exciting tales of larger than life characters, set in the 1920s-40s. What if you had pulp adventurers in the modern day? That is, modern people who somehow get turned into pulp heroes. Then the game is about two things. First, of course, they have thrilling adventures. Second, the conflict between their pulpiness and their lives in the modern world where self-reliance and decisive action are the exception, not the rule.

NUGGET is a trimmed-down version of the LODE system found in Silver Branch products, cramming a basic set of RPG rules into just 2 pages. It's a tool for introducing people to roleplaying games, putting a game together in a hurry, or those times when you just can't be bothered with long, complicated rules.
Obviously there's not enough room to cover a particular style/genre really well, but it's enough to play simple games where characters are basically normal people, perhaps with special skills - horror, crime, low fantasy, science fiction, monster collecting or whatever.
