The King's Ransom: Temporary Items

Over 100 potions! Or bits of candy, pieces of food, cigarettes, candles, incense, marbles, eggs, nuts, powders, fruits, herbs and anything else that gets consumed in use. It's fun to give the players something powerful to liven up the campaign when you least expect it -- or give it their foes, and watch the blood drain out of their faces instead!

Sample: Venomous Words. After using the item, the user's words themselves become poisonous to hear. Anyone hearing them in a cone area 20? wide and 30? long in front of the speaker is affected as if by poison, at a damage level determined by the referee. Make an Orate / Taunt / Fast Talk / Insult / whatever roll: fumble is no effect, failure is half effect, success is full effect, special success is +50% effect, critical success is double effect.
