My players and I really enjoy all of the Fat Dragon 3-D terrain. This set is extremely useful for any adventure that involves the players being outdoors.

I bought this for the trees. I searched high and low trying to find affordable 3D trees and settled on this set.

Now I must warn you, these trees look great, but they take a loooong time to put together. I dedicated about an hour a tree to put together my small forest. Granted, I don't have the super-cool automatic cutting machine, but event the assembly itself took a fair amount of time.

Once complete though, these trees are awesome. I built 12 of them, half deciduous and half evergreen. I was concerned at first I would want more, but these trees fill up a typical flip-mat quick. If I ever do a truly big fight, like say a pool table sized, I might need more. I find putting just 3 or 4 of these on a mat does enough to say "FOREST" without filling every square inch with model trees.

This is a fairly complex but very satisfying set of 3D terrain, usable with any role-playing genre where you want to stage a miniatures-scale scene in a forest. You will need at least an intermediate level of crafting skill to put these models together well. In my opinion, the trees are the best innovation in this set, as they look pretty good on the table and allow you to place snipers within. This is a great addition to the Fat Dragon line, though admittedly, a somewhat expensive one.

A very nice set, providing exactly what it promises. Definitely worth the money. There are a few minor niggles about this set, but that's to be expected.

The hill parts don't sit too well together. If you alter them to use the 'bobby pins' as described for walls in the basic modelling manual, that should solve that problem, but do it before you start putting it together!

The bridge and hut are a bit 'cheap and nasty' compared to other products from Fat Dragon, but perfectly serviceable in spite of that.

The trees are an inspired design, however each tree takes quite a bit of card to make (something like 2 trees from 13 A4 sheets!) and quite a bit of time. You're unlikely to furnish an entire forest from these!

All in all an excellent set.

Fantastic... So long as you have the time and skills for it.

When you buy this know that your also going to need card stock or cardboard to glue your prints to. Also if you have little time on your hands this is not the product for you. This gives you endless forest terrain and some of it is easy just print a page four cuts and your home smoking a brand new forest tile. Others, well you need to have deft touch to be able to finsh them. They have a level of complexity beyond what I was expecting.

If you are a wargammer. This your best friend. Buy them. Buy them all.

If you have little time on your hands. This is not the product for you. Move on. Keep moving...

It doesn't matter what genre you roleplay as long as there are trees in your world, this is a must have set. If the pc wantsto go climb a tree, he actually can. I just love the way I can also place npc's up in the trees to ambush the pcs.

Stunning artwork! Really gives the feel of a magical forest. The 3D props are relatively easy to assemble and well-worth the effort. Probably the best forest terrain tile system out there.
