Hunger: Zombies Must Feed (GDi)

Another great product by PIGames! In this game, you play a zombie, rather than playing against zombies. It is also a fun read!

LIKED: The twist of playing a zombie

DISLIKED: Nothing! Excellent value!

Overall, a nice, afforadable mini-supplement for HD][.

LIKED: Some more information about the HN][ baddie. Very digestable.

DISLIKED: Not quite up to the standard of the Mini-series Alpha, in that it had only one scenario.

QUALITY: Very Good

Atomik Alienz
by Gerald B. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 01/26/2006 00:00:00
This product has a LOT of discussion material in it - about half of the document. It is pretty good material for those who aren't already in the know, however, and is useful. It does kind of wander back and forth between humans in rubber suits and aliens so alien you couldn't play them, but there appears to be reason behind it. It has no random generation capability.

Definitely worth a fin for this product.

LIKED: Good information about cosmology and evolution. The point buy system is a good way to give some weight to different creature features. This will definitely enhance my future species generation efforts in Traveller.

DISLIKED: This thing didn't have an editor, evidently. It is mostly well written, but there are some parts where it is evident noone proofread, and there are double words, bad punctuation, etc. It's not terribly prevalent, but....
Also, there needed to be a random system of some kind included to spark some creative juices.

Another excellent entry for an excellent space RPG.

LIKED: A nice mix of gimmicks and weapons for HardNova ][. Definitely worth your $1.

DISLIKED: I always like to see more races, but I can always go to pig's site for that. So nothing, really.

A collection of useful add-ons for the game. Probably should just be in the main book.

LIKED: Decent presentation, good adventure

DISLIKED: That I had to buy it separatley. I would suggest simply incorporating it into the main rulebook and charging 5 bucks for it.

HardNova 2: Miniseries Alpha-The Vanguard
by Kane d. B. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 01/10/2006 00:00:00
This is a great addition to the Hard Nova ][ range. It is a good short to medium mini campaign on the living frontier that is on the verge of war.
The campaign builds up in a nice flowing fashion to the grand finale. Well written, with the room to move for the GM and group. All the information needed for ships and NPC's is included and easily referenced.
All in all a good product for Hard Nova][or even any other sci-fi game with a little tweaking.

LIKED: Layout, content. Floorplans for important ships. Price

DISLIKED: No complaints

A super collection of minis, fit and ready for any game. Colorful, well laid out and excellently drawn.

LIKED: Although there aren't as many figures in this collection as I'd like, the amazing array of customization features available at the PIG Website more than compensates (plus the price is right!). This is a FANTASTIC and extremely useful tool.

DISLIKED: Nothing

Publisher Reply:
Our miniatures are far superior to others on this site - every figure is available in both black & white AND color, and can be labeled, numbered, and duplicated to make armies. No other set can do that. We do not use low-quality 3D-rendered figures--they are hand drawn and optimized for printing to a range of different devices--inkjet, B&W laser, color laser, etc. The figures are not simply thrown on a page, they are matched to an industry-standard scale. In addition, filesizes are optimized, particularly when downloading full armies.
Unorthodox Barbarians (for Iron Gauntlets)
by Chris H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 11/26/2005 00:00:00
A great expansion for the Iron Gauntlets rules, bringing some interesting new options for your Iron Gauntlets characters. The barbarian vocations are full of flavor, and the new Gimmicks and magic can really liven things up in your game.

This is certainly not just vanilla fantasy.

LIKED: The new vocations and Gimmicks can really spice up your Iron Gauntlets characters, giving them some very interesting new choices.

DISLIKED: I think that I would have liked a bit more flavor text, to give a better idea of how these new vocations could fit into the standard setting of Iron Gaunlets.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied

Atomik Alienz
by Tim L. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 11/22/2005 00:00:00
Atomik Alienz, like GURPS produce (Space, Aliens, Bestiary) and like Hero products (Star Hero, the alien race book), puts together a wide
variety of other-world creatures. The difference is that without a
specific system, Atomik Alienz can suggest creatures for story purposes
free of said systems. The only problem is that the reference material
in the back is slightly dated, and the lack of a setting or technology for beginners.

I can't wait until Atomik Supers.

Atomik CyberTek
by Tim L. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 11/22/2005 00:00:00
The tension between modifying yourself with hardware on purpose, from
replacing an arm in a hard-science fiction environment to putting a
telephone line jack in your brain to run the net in a farther future
setting gives the Atomik Cybertek generic supplment the same edge as
found in the Cyberpunk genre. Atomik Cybertek also includes "wet ware",
or biological modifications to the human form, raising the same question
as other generic supplements: will will recognize us as humans beyond
what we are now? Will we be still human? or is there no difference between
machine AI and human sentience?

Also includes advice on various scenarios, for example the classic
Cyberpunk scenario: replacing human parts with machine parts makes one
less human, or modifies human away from reality, or adds to human
reality.

Great stuff, this.
