7th Voyage

It captures the "dramatic" feel of this type of entertainment (the dramatic-adventure movies and shows such as the Sinbad movies, Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts) very well. I think it would work well for any sort of "adventure in age of myth and legend" including Conan, as long as you want the cinematic feel. If you want super realism, move along. If you want a movie (or show) flavored game pick this up.

I'm not going to be doing a review of the rules here, those can be gotten elsewhere, and in better quality than I could do here.

If this is the quality that Crooked Dice typically provides I'll be buying more of the work in the future.

Typically slick 7TV campaign expansion with new gadgets, event cards, animal stats, character development and scenario suggestions. Spiffing, what ho! Highly recommended for 7TV fans.

7ombieTV

7ombieTV is a simple, fast moving and entertaining miniature wargame that lets you recreate the action (and bloodshed!) of the zombie movie genre. These rules contain everything you need, laid out in a logical manner, making them very easy to understand and get into. All the game play rules are wrapped up in about 10 pages, and cover everything you would expect - moving, shooting, fighting, falling, morale, ammo, special weapons (Chainsaw! Molotov cocktail!) and zombie infection. While the rules make some reference to "extra" things you can find in the 7TV game, this IS a stand alone game - I don't own the 7TV game and was able to play without any issue at all. The 4 scenarios ("episodes") really capture the feel of classic horror / zombie films, and the cast of special characters is full of almost-familiar heroes from the genre. My favourite part of the game are the scattered "quotes" and movie posters from the fictional Barren Pictures company - they are both hilarious and totally "in character"! If you are looking for a quick, straightforward game that really captures the flavour of zombie horror films of the 70's and 80's, this game is worth checking out.

7TV Summer Special

Crooked dice have again produced a glorious product. From the high quality of the layout, through the tongue in cheek 'fluff' to the fast paced action the game conveys this is an excellent rules set. This supplement adds some very good campaign rules as well as some new archetypes (including aliens!) and gadgets.
All in all a very good product.

7TV Summer Special

The first supplement for spy-fi game 7TV continues the very high standard set by the core rulebook. It's a visual delight, layout and colour perfectly catching that swinging 60's feel.
The main contribution is a set of campaign rules, allowing your forces (or 'casts' in 7TV parlance) to develop and grow with experience. Amusingly these maintain the pretence that you are the producer of a TV show as much as the commander of a military force. Your cast can benefit from a sponsorship deal, or suffer the effects of a celebrity scandal. This slightly tongue in cheek approach might not be to everyone's taste, but it adds an additional layer to the game.
There are also rules to add animals to your game, as well as stats for various types. Now you can add sharks or piranhas to your villainous lair! Three new types of extra are introduced, as are three co-stars based on figures already available from Crooked Dice. A new alien race, the lobster like Envoys, make their debut, with a two part scenario as they try to take over the Earth. New weapons, gadgets and Event cards round off the supplement.
The only downside is that there seems to be no way to switch the background images off, which would consume a fair bit of ink when printing. Aside from that this is a great addition to the game.

If you already have 7TV, buy this. If you don't have 7TV, buy that. And then buy this.
