If you intend to run Ptolus as it stands, in the world of Praemal, this is probably one of the first of the Ptolus PDFs you should get. The whole book is a mine of information to use as written in a Ptolus campaign or to "pillage" for use in your homebrew game. In any case, it can serve as an excellent model to build the background of your homebrew world. The chapters on the Cosmology and Religion as well as the History are absolutely outstanding, meaty parts of the book. You can find ideas for PCs, NPCs, encounters, adventures and campaigns everywhere you look at. Warning though: parts of this book are NOT recommanded reading for your players. Beware the spoilers! All in all, a first class background for a first class setting. Great price, great value for your games.
