An interesting Prestige Class that adds a bit of randomness to her spell casting effects. She gains a few extra spell-like abilities and a random "hex" to curse people with.

A lot of fluff is given for the class, but the crunch does not quite match up. Still an interesting class for an NPC or a witch-themed game.

Only 3 pages, but the price is low.

to be honest, i bought this prestige class while hunting for ideas for a wild mage prestige class for my own campaign. i didn't find anything which matched what i needed, and unfortunately the Chaos Witch doesn't fit well.

but i like the prestige class itself. it trades about half of its spellcasting ability for the ability to cast random hexes as melee touch attacks. the list of hexes is generally good, though some might be too good, one or two are pretty useless, and one seems totally unworkable. some indication of how a PC might rid herself of a chaos witch's hex would also be really useful. the class gains some other useful chaos/harm-based abilities as well, and the whole seems reasonably well-balanced on first glance.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: pretty interesting.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: it feels like it could have used another round of editing at least, and maybe playtesting.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

A very fine presentation for those wishing to add a few class options for their characters. The advertising pretends it's a 4 pages document. The class itself is in fact 3 pages, with the 4th being the OGL (i.e.: the legal stuff). The layout is nice, screen sized (so to print, won't be easy). The class itself is well done, but not overly original. This document should have included a NPC or two, but it's not the case. The good point is that the entirety of the thing is OGC, so I can put it in my document for my campaign setting without fear of copyrights infringements. 1$ the PDF may look cheap, but if you think about it, it would make a 60 page PDF for 20$ which is way overated for a simple PDF (At this price you get a 120 pages printed book)... All in all, I would say: buy only if you seem to really need one of the concepts presented. Myself I needed some Chaos-based classes and bought the two on this subject. Not bad, but not exceptional either.

Just for those who can't get enough prestige classes for their campaign. I got plenty of ideas for a part of my home-grown campaign that could use this prestige class.

This PDF continues the great trend of other Lost Classes. The Chaos Witch is an interesting class, one that should be able to find a home in pretty much any campaign, whether as a PC, NPC or foe. The concept is interesting (anyone who reads Marvel comics should have no problem identifying the inspiration) but not disruptive, adding a good element of surprise (and how!) to the game.

The mechanics are well thought-out and balanced overall. The entry requirements are easy to achieve, including a roleplaying entry allowing the GM to customize the class to his/her world. As a magic-based class, however, I don't understand the need for a BAB requirement.

The class abilities are excellent, truly embodying the concept of a Chaos Witch; you never know what you're gonna get, but chances are it won't be pretty. The Change Outcome class ability, a written, could be a little too powerful at the higher levels, but in the end that depends on each GM's level of play.

For the price, it is an excellent addition to any GM's arsenal of tricks.
