Blood Brothers 2 builds on the concept first aired in Blood Brothers, and attempts to improve on the experience.
The comments below were made on my review of the original, and hold for the second book.
These adventures are deliberately camp and not intended for play by campaign characters. One-off pregens are supplied and should be used.
The concept is "B Movie Cthulhu" which means that the cosmic horror motif is put on the back-burner and this alone might make unsympathetic gamers ask "Well why play Call of Cthulhu if you are going to nerf the main conceit?"
Very much a book for those who will not play anything BUT Call of Cthulhu yet need a break from the endless descent into blitherhood, or for a group who has never played because they find the concept of the regular Call of Cthulhu structure and expectation less than exciting. This might be the best vehicle for getting a group of die-hard D&Ders to have a go at Call of Cthulhu, but then again they won't be getting the "genuine" experience.
Pays your money, takes your chance.
The book dates from Call of Cthulhu ed 5, and the stats inside are for that version with a conversion chart for earlier editions skill lists.
A star comes off for the rather poor quality of the page scans. The font is not well-imaged in places, there are distortions in the text. Zooming too much might make your eyes water.
As is usual for all early Chaosium pdfs, there are no bookmarks, which won't bother the tablet user but blows from the very depths of Azathoth's Myriad Ventral Orifices for the PC user who will be forced to use search to find anything.
Still, you can't really complain for the price.
