This is a very readable copy of the Player's Handbook. I'm surprised at the whiteness of the pages, to be honest. Adobe's OCR is able to pick up a vast majority of the text with little or no garbling, which is a bonus for people like me who break things down into text documents to reduce the amount of ink required to print out a copy.
The scanned pages are slightly colored, which means more ink is used in printing it, but the scanner is not to blame as I have seen actual copies and they have a slight tan cast to the paper.
LIKED: It is a complete system with optional rules all in one book.
DISLIKED: Why did TSR choose to print this on dun-colored pages? It makes reading it so much more difficult.
