Blood and Guts 2: Military Training Manual

An excellent product. I much prefer it to the first version; this one is simpler and relies less on advanced classes with very high prerequisites. 32 pages seems rather light for what it needs to cover, but I think Chuck did a good job writing useful rules in a small package. Additional supplements (SOCOM and War on Terror) give all the advanced classes for various US special operations forces and ways to create excellent enemies for your troops.

LIKED: Great product. High value, very useable for just about any military campaign.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Modern Dispatch (#15): Operation: Dry County

Finally had a chance to run this quick adventure as a one shot for two people from my gaming group. It went well, if a bit too easy for two 8th level characters. The material presented within is slim, so don't expect a scripted adventure with lots of 'read or paraphrase this for your players' entries. Think of it more as a plot outline; you will need to fill in the meat of the story.

LIKED: Great value, includes a prestige class used for an NPC in the game.

DISLIKED: I would love to see something twice the size for a bit more cash. I eneded up making maps using some images from Google Earth, but a few maps would save the DM time, especially when running this as a quick filler or a one-shot.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
A decent supplement. While I didn't make use of many of the rules presented within, I found it a good way to add WWII technology to my game without much expense.

LIKED: Some of the added feats are great, and the equipment listings are both exhaustive and sensible.

DISLIKED: Nothing in particular. I did notice an image or two that was taken from the wrong era.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
Thanks! Yeah, the equipmnt chapter takes up roughly half the book. Its a LOT of material. You're right that there are a couple of images taken from another era (the Korean War, to be exact).
