Most of this book is pretty useful, worth having if you are a Mage player or Storyteller but its the last nine pages that make it truly essential to the game. The Page for each Sphere descriptions of just what you can and cannot do with each level of power in each sphere of Magic was a godsend in the early days of mage and even now with 2nd and revised editions, this little book is great to have to hand both for players and ST's alike.

Not a bad little book, although considering its subject matter it could have done with a few more pages. Still it does give one hell of a lot of ideas and prompts, enough info to make it a worthy addition to the KotE collection.

No real use as a Changeling book (the creatures detailed are not part of the Changeling world) but a great product for the Kindred of the east /Middle Kingdom setting. It details the Hsien, Asian spirits who once worked for Heaven but got stuck here when the other servants of Heaven (the Keui-Jin) fell from grace. If you treat the Hsien as a unique and new character concept and ignore the ill concieved attempts to tie them to Changeling, you can have a lot of fun with this book and the critters it reveals. That being said, the magic system is clunky and several of the muyths plundered have already been given flesh in other WoD systems.

Probably the worse written and least useful of the Changeling books, the rules in the front are available in other C:tD books and the scenario that makes up most of the book is just damn awful (not to mention canon breaking).

Still, it's got a nice cover!!

Redipe for Unmittigated rubbish. Take several game lines you stopped supporting properly and rush them out the back door as quickly as possible. Answer none of the Question raised over the lifespan of those games and make good use of deus ex Machina in almost every case. Sprinkle with a lack of understanding of the games themselves and your own personal house rules and resist the urge to spell check.

The other ToJ books were bad enough but if you can find anything useful in this book you're a better man than I Gunga din!
