Mechagenesis: The True20 Robotic Roleplay Sourcebook
Publisher: Reality Blurs

Just a tad overpriced. The 'premium edition' really isn't all that visually pleasing. Also, half the chapters have big empty spaces for art, but no actual art. I own Mechamorphosis (the precursor of sorts for original d20 that is the basis for this True20 release), and I find it much more visually pleasing. Mechagenesis is almost entirely the same, even using some of the same examples (though it appears the setting information and such is different). It does fix some problems and address some issues that aren't addressed in Mechamorphosis. Additionally, it has a starting adventure (Battle of St. Louis), as well as a set of sample characters, neither of which were a part of Mechamorphosis. All in all, looks to be an improvement on mechanics, but not on look. I like my games to look nice, and Mechagenesis doesn't really. As such, I'm rating it 3/5. If you're more a substance over style type of person, you would probably enjoy this product more.

Origin of the Species: Transmechs Revised

It should first be noted that I am not at all familiar with how Spycraft has been altered since it's d20 roots, or even just Spycraft in general. I bought this product mainly for the NPCs. Only problem with that being: they are all but unusable for normal d20. As I apparently now know, Spycraft is not backwards compatible with general OGL / d20 products. As such, I'd have to ay I was disappointed to say the least. If you play Spycaft, this might be worth getting, but otherwise.... Avoid.

Dept. 7 Adv. Class Update: Sentai Spectrum Ranger

Ever wanted to play a Power ranger in your d20 Modern game? Okay, maybe you haven't. But if you have, or simply wanted a way to stat out PR type characters for d20, here it is. A full advanced class, complete with 'flying kicks' and 'spectrum specialties'. No Zord support (thankfully, IMO), although it wouldn't be hard to add on with d20 Future or d20 Mecha. Sadly, there are also no sample stat blocks, but that wouldn't be enough to keep me from buying. All in all, it's what it is: A small PDF with the ability to add a team of Sentai heroes to your D20 game.

Octavirate Presents Vol #5: Collectabeasts!

This PDF is an excellent resource for those interested in running a Pokemon or Digimon style game. With the templates and a few good MM type books, you can easily populate your campaign with a variety of 'collectabeasts' or 'virtuabeasts'. However, the DM would have to do alot of world building and such himself, as this PDF is more aimed as a starting point or one shot. Nevertheless, heartily recommended.
