As all of the world of darkness core rulebooks get rushed toward their untimely end, to make room for new world of darkness systems, the end times are initiated in each book to "conveniently" coincide. While mage, vampire and werewolf actually posess entire books on the subject, Time Of Judgment takes all of the less supported and less popular systems and shoves them into one book. It can be a useful resource, but as for the pre-made end time campaigns; they can be somewhat lacking; Lacking in detail, somewhat rushed and with pictures and articles used as space-fillers, the content in ToJ is useful in some cases, and does contain interesting material, but could definitely have used more effort. Demon, for instance, has some interesting concepts and stories for the end times, but so much of it contains "make it up yourself" anyway

Where should I begin... ah, I understand that White Wolf was moving their product lines toward an 'End Times' but I thought even the smaller lines deserved a little more care in ending them. I mean, if you're going to wrap all of this stuff up, let's go out with a bang, not a whimper.
I admit I have a bone to pick with White Wolf about a lot of things. My opinion is that in the rush to wind up the main lines, the smaller ones like Demon and the Trinity Universe (both of which I play) were thrown out too soon. I do like the new World Of Darkness better because they're aren't starting out with the idea of Gehenna is around the corner.

Redipe for Unmittigated rubbish. Take several game lines you stopped supporting properly and rush them out the back door as quickly as possible. Answer none of the Question raised over the lifespan of those games and make good use of deus ex Machina in almost every case. Sprinkle with a lack of understanding of the games themselves and your own personal house rules and resist the urge to spell check.

Viola, ToJ!

The other ToJ books were bad enough but if you can find anything useful in this book you're a better man than I Gunga din!

Pretains to Mummy: Although some were dissapointed by a seemingly unknown NPC showing up and becomeing the main antagonst over night, I think this was a great supliment for Mummy. I've run all buit the Wu 'tian 'plot' and have to say they all ran well. The stories were as epic as you would suppose, and it did introduce some great game information (particularly pretaining to the Wu 'tian.) Although ToJ is not as important as the player's guide, it is a great resource for a mummy campaighn.

PERTAINS ONLY TO HUNTER:

Awful. Mind crushingly awful. The "scenarios" (I use this term loosely) span about eight pages (that's three scenarios, covering eight pages - and that's including the pictures!) and are about as inspiring as watching paint dry. Also, don't expect to find any loose ends in Hunter's meta plot tied up here - the authors haven't even bothered to address it. Everything is "make it up yourself" (there's a section on Fyodor's "five signs" which basically amounts to "they either mean what Violin99 says or you can make your own version up"). The section on "running a game in the end times" is basically a rehash of what can be found in the same sections in the other Time of Judgement books.

A crying shame as Hunter was, in my opinion, one of the best things that WW had ever done.

*PERTAINS ONLY TO CHANGELING* A half-butt attempt at an end-of-the-world scenario for the Fae. Useful, but only just. I don't run the other games covered here, so their content is up for grabs.
