This book contains several chapters:

Chapters 1 to 5 are a Strategy Manual that reads like Sun Tzu and other asian strategy works that I have read. Thoroughly enjoyable. The Charms section is a huge errata that makes the DB charmset less wonky and much more use-able in play. I highly recommend this for anyone seriously interested in running a DB game, or a having DB players in their Exalted game.... Or heck, maybe you just want to spend some $ and have something good to read.

Finally, Dragon-Bloods get some love!

In all seriousness, this is a great addition to any Exalted game, but especially those with Dragon-Blooded PCs. The Thousand Correct Actions refers to an in-setting manual of military practice, which is one of the most important texts in a Dragon-Blood's life, after the texts of the Immaculate Order, making the setting information and flavor text in this book vital to the portrayal of Dragon Blooded characters and the Realm they come from. Given how unsympathetically Dragon-Bloods are portrayed in most of the other Exalted books, a turn to put them in the spotlight as the heroes was due, and the book delivers, flavorfullly and mechanically.

The rules in the book have to do with providing entirely new charms (on average, one new charm for each skill, with some of the more military-themed skills getting multiple new charms) and clarifying, or outright fixing, problematic charms from the Manual of Exalted Power: The Dragon Blooded.

In all fairness, the fixes for existing charms are also part of the free errata issued for the game, but the new charms do a lot to fix balance issues with Dragon Blooded characters as well, and putting the errata into this book is extremely convenient and speeds up my own Exalted game (which stars an all-Dragon-Blooded cast) considerably.

I would go so far as to say The Thousand Correct Actions is essential for the full Dragon Blooded experience, and rekindled my own interest in Exalted right when it was beginning to wane.

This book is excellent, but the pdf is encrypted and password locked which prevents you from being able to resave it in an iPhone friendly format. This is not acceptable.

This is one of the most pivotal publications for Exalted - it makes Dragon-blooded awesome, and explores the themes of teamwork and militarism in awesome ways.

Between the fabulously written Thousand Correct actions itself and the Charm updates and additions at the end, this in my opinion is a must have for anyone using the Dragon blooded in an exalted story, either has NPC's or as PC's.

A superb product. Great setting material in the first half, and then a much needed reworking of DB charms (along with a bunch of new ones) in the second half.

Yes, you can get the updates to the DB charmset in the errata - but this book is more than worth it for the new charms and the fluff at the start.

The first half reads like a cross of Musashi's "A Book of Five Rings," Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" and "The Bible." The second half of the book provides excellent errata and new charms for the Dragon-Blooded. Overall an excellent supplement to the Exalted Line.

This book is two things in one -- it's firstly an examination of how the Dragonblooded make war, with similarities to both The Art of War and The Book of Five Rings. Secondly, it contains an extensive section that patches up many of the rules holes in the 2nd Edition Dragonblooded Charmset, as well as providing some new ones (focused mainly on warfare, the theme of the book).

It's well worth picking up -- even if you're not interested in the in-character first section (which would be a mistake), working Charms for the most commonly encountered type of Exalt are probably going to be useful for most games, and the extensive errata makes many of these Charms more thematic and interesting. Needless to say, it's invaluable for a Dragonblooded game.

I would like to see something along these lines for the long-promised Scarlet Manual of Proper Bearing at some point -- this gives a good picture of the Realm and the capabilities of the Dragonblooded at war, and I think it would be interesting to see a similar work treating them when they're not continuing politics by other means. This is not to detract from the book at hand, however, which is well worth its cost.

This book got me hooked on the first two paragraphs of the Preface and kept me reading through from there. The first half is very flavorful, itneresting and will add a pile of plot hooks and great setting elements to flesh-out Exalted characters and games I feel.

The second half continues this with a compilation of great errata, lots of cool new Charms which give the Dragon-Blooded a solid Charmset and very coherent and interesting theme.

And it all looks good, with the easy to read and Spartan ficitonal bits to the very nicely laid-out and color Charms. Really highly recommended and required for anything for Terrestrial Exalted in a Second Edition game.

Five stars, no question! An absolute necessity for anyone using the Manual of Exalted Power: Dragon-Blooded. It smoothly and effectively integrates new Charms with errata to previous mechanics, clarifies outstanding questions, and includes fabulous fictional excerpts from the in-world book of the same name. While the fictions focuses primarily on warfare, the book is broadly applicable to any Dragon-Blooded player or GM! Two thumbs way, way up!

Gorgeously written and amazingly detailed on the stylistic and conceptual levels for the ideas behind Terrestrial Exalted Warfare. The exploration of the setting and the way of war is amazing. New Charms, revised Charms, Dragon-Blooded rebuilt into something truly amazingly inspiring. Well worth the money, even for those who don't want to use Dragon-Blooded in their games.

A must for any Dragon Blooded player or Storyteller. This supplement patches the previously unworkable DB Charms of Second Edition as well as providing amazing insight into the Realm military. The patches & expansion of the Terrestrial Charm set makes the Soldiers of the Primordial War true masters of mass combat & plays up the evolution of their strengths of group cohesion & power.

A must have supplement for anyone using Terrestrial Exalted or Mass Combat in their games. The revision and enrichment of the Terrestrial Charm set alone would be worth it, but the in setting material documenting one of the most famous fictional works in Exalted will enrich any game that even tangentially touches on those elements.
