Love this map. It's evocative and the form-fillable layers mean you can drop it into your world as an illustration for a town you may already have named.

Nice little map that helped fire up my imagination when designing a town for my campaign. I am bad at drawing maps, and most of the other maps I could find were either too big or too small, so this one was juuuuuuust right. I wish it included a more traditional top-down view, but it's FREE. I ain't gonna complain.

An excellent map. Plenty of detail to get one thinking and masses of scope to develop ones own ideas. Love it, thanks. :)

I found this illustration very nice and it's simplicity allows it to be used in almost any fantasy campaign world.

This was a lovely picture but I found it difficult to use due to lack of detail. It was more of a photo with labels than an actual map.

This little free gem became the starting point of my campaign. It might be just a single page but it was enough for me to generate some starting hooks and there is enough space to place my own things in there as well.

This is worth every penny you paid for it. I'm not sure it was worth the bandwidth expended on downloading it, though. It's simply a picture of a town, what you see on the 'cover' is the whole of the 1-page document. There are numbers over various buildings and a little key at the bottom that tells you important info like, 'smithy', 'marketplace', 'town entrance' (because that's hard to see?), etc. It also tells you that there's a sheriff and some militia. I don't know where the other reviewer found a functional scale because there is none on the picture, there's nothing to tell you how far it is from A to B.

Yes, it's free. Save your bandwidth for a real product.

Hey, it's free! And a good little extra to throw into a game. As stated by others, it's useful to give your group a visual link to the town they are adventuring in. Well drawn graphics.

Nice free Drop in for any Fantasy (or historical) campaign. I will use it for dungeonslayers to represent the City were the Mages academy is located (amking good use of the citadel and the tower)

The Map of Berem Town, in a single page, excites the imagination enough to create mini-encounters and adventures at a moments notice. Why does the Monastery look so much like a castle? What lies beneath the ruins beyond the castle walls? Who lives in the Tower? Does the waterfall hide an entrance into a cave network filled with forgotten treasures? And why build a well when you're right next to a river?

Anyway - for a free product, the great presentation and interesting potential makes this Map the perfect tool to add to the ever-ready GMs arsenal!

No matter how irrelevant to your plot, someone always wants to know what the town looks like, or how far he has to stagger from the ale house to his lodgings... so neat little products like this are a useful adjunct to the GM's library.

This one is a charming sketch-map of a typical mediaevalish-village that has grown up as such places do on a lake shore beside a river flowing into it. Suitable for a population of 800 souls, it's been provided with most of the necessities, from an inn and a tavern through blacksmith's and alchemist's shops to a temple and even a playground for the youngsters. There's a nice manor house for the local lord, a nearby wizard's tower and a huge sprawling establishment that I originally thought was a castle but is actually billed as a monastery.

Even neater, if you wish you can switch off the layer that holds the legend and hand the map to the players for them to explore for themselves. The numbers remain, which can come in handy as someone can say, "I've gone to location 7, what is it?" rather than trying to explain where he's wandered off to. There are plenty of unlabelled buildings too, which you can assign as you please.

It's nice to have a sketch-map rather than a carefully-drawn plan for a change - both have their place, depending on the use to which you wish to put them, of course - but when people need a place to stop for the night on their travels through your game world, you can haul this out to breathe life into this corner of your alternate reality. OK, I like maps, and this one is free, but it's a nice one... tuck it away, it will come in useful one day!

This is a generous and fun publication. It doesn't have a lot of detail. It is only a page, but it is attractive and might spur your imagination.

AND ITS FREE.

Every single DM has had the question of "what does this place look like?" or "what will the city look like when they get there". Here is a pleasing isometric drawing (like the cover illustration only bigger) of a high fantasy city. According to the PDF its a coastal city with 800 inhabitants but you can turn off the statistics in a pdf layer control and it can be whatever you want. I really think 1191 AD Publishing should be commended for this simple generous pdf. If you want a city to build an adventure in or a base for your players you could do a lot worse.

Kudos for a simple, useful free product. I'll keep an eye out for this company.

Bo

This 1-page PDF from 1191 AD is an attractive color interpretation of the town of Berem. Included are some basic facts, detailing both the inhabitants and the locations of note in the town. By manipulating the layers in the PDF, location descriptions may be hidden, although I saw no way to hide the location number markers.

WHat attracted me most to this product was the non-typical perspective or viewpoint that the town is presented in, along with the architectural style of the buildings. The town just looks very appealing to the eye, and that's a good thing!
