I was uncertain of the effect this would add to my gaming table, but wow, both myself and players were impressed. The foreign bazaar / middle eastern sound really helped all of us get into the game. The little sounds, such as the animals and people haggling, really felt like we were on a street somewhere with all this action around us. I did not need to describe every little action happening as they could hear it.

A huge benefit to my game, looking forward to trying out some more.

Also it's only $2, which is a very fair price to try this out. Very affordable and reasonable.

Despite the vague and unfortunate "foreign" in the title, this track does a good job of capturing an eclectic bazaar. Vendors haggle with customers, babies cry, donkeys bray, birds squawk, and a general hubbub immerses listeners in the marketplace. This would be a good track to use, for example, during the opening scene of the "Murder in Baldur's Gate" adventure or any other time such a market is featured. The soundscape is flexible enough to serve in fantasy, pulp, or modern games equally well.

The Ambient Environments soundscapes are quality recordings that combine sound and music into an audio atmosphere for your storytelling games. Each track is ten minutes long, with no fade in/out at the start or end, making them perfect for continuous looping. While reviewing this series, I played each track in the background and often didn't notice when it had started over. The sound levels are compressed very well, which means that there will be very few distracting volume changes when you play these during a session. And at $1.49, the price is very reasonable.

The Foreign Marketplace soundscape includes a cacophany of shouting and chattering voices, coins jingling, animal noises (chickens, ducks, donkeys, and goats), blacksmithy sounds, shuffling feet, and much more. It's a great audio backdrop for most any marketplace scenario.
