Love this map and all the features that it brings with it. For someone who has been scouring the internet for expansions to DoMM, this was a real great stand-in for trying to convert some of the old maps to be used.

The "Rule the Dungeon" function for each map is an incredibly useful tool and I wish more products had the ability to hide items that didnt need to be seen by players.

The only big downside to me was that, for the life of me, I could not figure out how to convert these to JPEG's or PNG's that I needed for my VTT game.

Great overall value, but unfortunately it didnt work out for the purpose I had originally bought it. If i figure out a workaround, I will post that here.

Slowly but surely I am picking up many of these map suppliments.

One big dungeon of 8 pages and nicely separated out for easy printing.

Toggle features very nice.

About the only minor drawback I have is that there are almost too many rooms like the mapper saw empty space and had to fill it with something.

As a suggestion if at all possible, a masking funciton for blocking off aread much like the toggle function to make many smaller maps out of the big one and make them more customizable.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Nice 'fill' ink saver feature on printout.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Map is a little 'busy'. Exactly what I expected: A big dungeon level, ready to stock with monsters and treasure. Good use of PDF features, especially printer-friendly background options. It's also nice to be able to print off various parts of the dungeon at several different scales, to give an overview and detailed area sheets for the DM. Looks like you can print at 1" = 5' scale too, but haven't tried that.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: "Rule the Dungeon" feature.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Level 1 of The Dungeon Under the Mountain is a mammoth 22" X 34" inch dungeon map that was obviously influenced in look and feel by the Undermountain dungeon of Forgotten Realms fame. The map is divided into eight 8 1/2" X 11" sheets and features 0one's Rule The DUNGEON! feature. This feature allows the owner to turn on and off nine separate features of the maps, including room numbers, grid and background fill.

The dungeon itself is very large. Each sheet is fairly filled with rooms and there are over forty main encounter areas. Counting the secondary rooms, there are literally hundreds of rooms to explore. The maps are rendered 'old school' style with minimal features and the included legend details the symbols used on the maps. A summary shows how to place the separate sheets to create the overall map.

It is worth noting that there are no suggested encounters, plot hooks or any details of the dungeon's inhabitants. It is up to the DM to fill the dungeon as he sees fit. And with such a large map, this should take awhile indeed. It could take a group of players quite a few sessions of play, just to clear out this level, depending on the number of encounters the DM sees fit to place. And with two other levels already released in the series, a DM should be well on the way to creating his own 'world's largest dungeon'.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: The Rule The DUNGEON! feature is very cool. The maps are well rendered and colorful.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Only the main encounter areas are numbered. Some suggested encounters or background information might ease the burden on the DM.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This PDF presents a very large dungeon with no encounters or information on the inhabitants. The map does contain traps, secret doors, portculis stairs, crawlways, a grid, and identifies the rooms by number.

This is a wonderful product for anyone looking for a map to populate before sending their unsuspecting players into the depths, but does not have the time or the inclination to create the map themselves. Using a PDF in this way, in order to take advantage of the tools, is very interesting.

The Rule Your Dungeon feature is brilliant. They nearly got it exactly right. As you know from reading the publisher?s description, certain things have independent ?switches? in this feature. However, some included items require a switch of their very own. Otherwise, there are difficult choices to make, such as the fact that turning off furniture takes away doors and stairs. It would also be useful if they provided, in addition to the ?change all? feature, a ?player version? feature that removed all secret doors, traps, and other information that should not be revealed to players. That would simplify using the product for any dungeon master that wants to take the dungeon as is.

You should note that the final four images on this products main page are a view of the entire map with different options turned on or off. So, for example, the fourth map has everything ?off? so that nothing more than the outline of the dungeon appears. Also, note that the first and second map (upper left and right) have the color of the main dungeon as yellow (certain areas use different colors to identify them), while the third map (lower left) has the color of the main dungeon as white. There are many more variations to select from that will not have nearly as dramatic a visual effect as displayed by those four images. However, the impact will be evident from the way they are used in game play.

Other than that, it is an interesting and large map that could get see action in lots of campaigns.

To rousing gaming and ample rewards, I. Perez<br><br><b>LIKED</b>:

Maps, maps, maps. What dungeon crawl can live with out them? How many great stories involve a band of adventurers coming across one? The Dungeon Under the Mountain: Level 1 is a huge map. But how useful is it? Let's find out.

The product itself is a twelve page pdf file that contains exactly what the title says. It's a gigantic map of a dungeon level. However, it's a little different than your average map. For one it has a page that when printed at full size is 22"x34"--it's the size of a blueprint. The full map is then divided into smaller pieces on the following pages. The great thing here is they can be scaled and printed to any size you need and no resolution is lost.

In addition to the image qualities, there is also an added feature that allows the user to turn off parts of the dungeon map. Don't want a teleport pad to be there? Turn it off. You don't want water? Turn that off. Every layer of the map can be fiddled with to get just what you want. A legend is included that explains the map symbols for easy reference as well as a key plan showing how to put the smaller pieces together to make the dungeon. There are secret passages and doors, teleport pads, everything that makes a dungeon crawl great.

As for stocking the Dungeon Under the Mountain, that is left to the user. Here is where one problem I have with the map arises. Certain areas are keyed with numbers and described as "main areas". however, no other rooms have a number so a DM will not only have to stock the dungeon, but he will also have to key the "secondary" rooms (about 90% of the total dungeon) himself. This may not seem so bad, but when you have a number keyed on a "main" room surrounded by unrelated numbers on the "secondary" areas the bookkeeping can get a little dicey.

In all, however, this is a small issue with a very good product. It is useful for Dungeon Masters and map junkies alike.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Excellent image quality that can be printed at any scale including a poster-sized map for those with the goods to print it up. Being able to turn off layers is also an added bonus.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The rooms not all being keyed can make cataloging the dungeon environs an unnecessary hassle.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This is a nicely done huge dungeon map. Obiously based on the Ruins of Undermoutain concept. There is no story or monsters just the map with certain area numbered. You have the flexibility to turn the existing numbers off it you want.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: I like the ability to cut on or off various dungeon features: Room numbers, furniture and whether to fill empty space with black or white.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: I wish the doors were selectable separately from the furniture.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Ah, man. Some old school nostalgia here. If you ever ran/enjoyed the old 2e Ruins of Undermountain, the look (and the title) should be familiar.

If you are familiar with some of 0one's other map products, you should be familiar with the "control" feature that allows you to hide or display different features. The older product like dungeon rooms let you add and remove traps, chests, doors, etc. The map scale here is different, and it allows you to turn of the highlighting of colored and numbered rooms, as well as traps, teleports, and numbers, and a ink-conserving option for print-outs. Lets you print the maps, run them from your laptop, and prepare player versions of the maps as well.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Flexibility, nostalgia.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>
